Our Conclusion

MetLife is a plan for pet families. Creating a multi-pet policy is quite easy on their website. Along with that, the options for annual max, reimbursement percentage and deductible are very adjustable. For example, deductible options run from 0$ to $2,500 annually. The annual maximum limit ranges from $1,000 to $25,000.

The basic plan covers the usuals: accident, illness, most medications and tests. The one thing we did find peculiar was that when a wellness plan was added, the monthly rate greatly increased compared to the monthly rate without it. This is atypical to most pet health plans as those add-ons are a small added cost. Overall, MetLife is one of the most affordable and comprehensive plans available.
